Isaac Wohlers scored four goals as the Breckenridge-Wahpeton boys hockey team defeated the Aberdeen Cougars 7-5 in a non-league game Saturday in Wahpeton, N.D.
Jase Jensen finished with one goal and three assists for the Blades while James Finkral had one goal and one assist.
Braydon Jones had one goal and two assists for the Cougars. Jared Everson, Avery Dean, Matt Johnson and Elias Altman each scored one goal for Aberdeen.
The Cougars trailed 3-2 midway through the second period until Johnson tied the game at 3-all off an assist from Tommy Chandler 8:55 mark. Jones then gave the Cougars the lead on an unassisted goal at the 9:58 mark of the second period.
Wohlers then scored three straight goals to give the Blades a 6-4 lead. Altman scored on a power play for the Cougars at the 7:02 mark of the third period off assists from Ryan Abel and Jones to trim the lead to 6-5, but Wohlers answered with an unassisted goal at the 7:48 mark, giving the Blades a two-score lead.
The Cougars play next at Watertown this coming Saturday.
