Development Level Registration Open!

Registration of Development Level Players is now open.  This registration is for players Squirts, Mites, and Termites and includes players born on or before 12/31/2013.

This year we will have three payment options.  They include:

  1. Payment in full at the time of registration
  2. Two equal payment options. Half due at the time of registration and the second half due 10/1/17.
  3. Three equal payment options. One third due at the time of registration, one third on 11/1/17 and the final third on 01/15/18.

NEW THIS YEAR:  As a part of your registration this year, you will now need to provide the following information: 1) Insurance Information, 2) Emergency Contact Information, and 3) Medical History Information including the last date of your players tetanus shot/booster.

Equipment Rental Rates

-Termite Equipment Rental is $30 (Deposit Check for $90)
-Mite Equipment Rental is $45 (Deposit Check for $135)
-Squirt and Older Equipment Rental is $60 (Deposit Check for $180)
-Deposit Amount for any Goalie Equipment Rented is $500 rather than amount listed above.

Ice Rental Rates for Non AHA Activities

-Private Ice Rental Per Hour (AHA Members) when booking less than 10 Hours is $150 per Hour
-Private Ice Rental Per Hour (AHA Members) when booking more than 10 Hours is $135 per Hour
-Private Ice Rental Per Hour (Non-AHA Members) is $175 per Hour

AHA Names New Varsity Coaches

The Aberdeen Hockey Association is pleased to announce the naming of the new Girls Varsity Head Coach Shelby Edwards.  Shelby grew up in Rapid City & played varsity for the Rushmore Thunder.  She attended SDSU where she studied Physical Education.  While attending SDSU she played for the SDSU ACHA Hockey Team while being the assistant coach for the Brookings Rangers.  She won state in 2012 and was a 3 time league champions.  After SDSU Shelby moved to Nebraska to start the first ever women’s hockey program at Midland University.  In 2015 she helped start the Girls Team South Dakota, she currently the head coach of the U16 team and assistant coach of the U19 team.  She coached the National Camp in St. Cloud for the Girls U15 development Camp in 2015 and the girls U18 Camp in 2016.  She is also currently the development rep for the state of South Dakota.  "I am looking forward to the opportunity to coach a team that has had such great success and continue to help them grow as young ladies and hockey players, but am most looking forward to working with a great group of girls and the support system that they have from their parents, grandparents, friends, and AHA."  -Coach Edwards

The Aberdeen Hockey Association is pleased to announce the naming of the new Boys Varsity Head Coach Jon Aldinger.  Jon was born and raised in Aberdeen.  He spent 13 years playing for the Cougars growing up.  Since his playing days Jon has spent 18 years coaching youth Hockey in Aberdeen.  He also plays men’s league.  When he isn’t at the arena Jon spends time working at Quest Construction.

    Much of the communication that AHA is providing is done through the email address you have attached to your NGIN profile or within the AHA website.  This is the email address you provided during one of your prior registrations.  Please make sure the email address associated with your profile is your correct email address.  

    Do you think you missed a communication?  You can find all communication sent to your NGIN account in your Inbox found at the top of the AHA website after you log into your account.  This is in addition to the email that was generated to your specific email address.

    The Aberdeen Hockey Association (AHA) will provide the youth of the Aberdeen area opportunities, both recreational and competitive, to participate in ice hockey. Lifetime lessons will be learned in: responsibility, physical fitness, discipline, cooperation, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership, and most important, "fun" with peers.
