Change of Venue for Girl's Varsity Tournament

As many of you may have heard, the Sioux Falls Expo Ice facility needs maintenance after the season to deal with a blocked line. After much discussion and consulting with the different association presidents it has been decided that the state tournament will be held at Sioux Center, IA. Sioux Center has graciously offered to co-host the tournament with Sioux Falls.

If you were planning on coming down to Sioux Falls to cheer the Lady Cougars on to a State Tournament Victory, the map below will give you some directions of where Sioux Center is located.

Vernon Ice Arena in Sioux Center:

The Vernon Arena ice is NHL size which makes it 200 feet long x 85 feet wide for a total of 17,000 sq feet. The ice is maintained at 1½ inches thick = 15,000 gallons of water.
